Sally's House is a place where pregnant women with a substance abuse problem can redirect their lives, while keeping their children with them during the process. Located in Brevard County since 1993, more than 900 women and children have resided at Sally's House. Sixty four healthy, drug free babies have been born -babies who would have been born into violent, abusive, drug infested environments. This September, our 65th drug free baby will be born!
Each of these interventions has saved taxpayers $250,000 that would have been spent in the just the first week of an addicted baby's life, and the cost continues. Sally's House, the heartbeat of PREVENT!, offers 6 to 24 months residence and support services, including family case management, outpatient treatment, counseling, childcare, transportation, education and employment training. Referrals are accepted from government agencies, drug treatment programs, faith based programs and other human service agencies. ————————————————- Sally's house welcomed a baby boy on August 28th! He was 8 Lb. 1 Oz. and 20 inches long...Another healthy baby!!! |
